Tennis and Me...
Well What made me pour out my inhibitions on Tennis? Of course the fantastic Men's Wimbledon Final, Its one of the Best clashes between the superheroes of their last 12/13 encounters. Clearly there are two dominating men in the world of tennis both being my favorites - FedEx and Rafael. And if you have followed this final closely you would have appreciated what it needs to be a champion. It was a game of aggression, frustration, strategy, errors ,experience and Ofcourse Luck. Now do i need to say how to apply these complex sounding words but simple concepts to implement in everything you do?
Its my strong recommendation to watch if not most of the games but atleast a nerve biting games like these which you not only enjoy but also have some take aways too.....

A lesson from Coffee - Courtesy (FWD)
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups -porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive,some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups. And then you began eyeing each other's cups.
Now consider this. Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee. Fate brews the coffee, not the cups.
Enjoy your coffee! "The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything." Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.

what type are you?
* Extroversion - Introversion (E and I )
* Sensing - Intuition ( S and N)
* Thinking - Feeling (T and F)
* Judging - Perceiving ( J and P)
The first criterion defines the source and direction of energy expression for a person. The extrovert has a source and direction of energy expression mainly in the external world while the introvert has a source of energy mainly in the internal world.
The second criterion defines the method of information perception by a person. Sensing means that a person believes mainly information he receives directly from the external world. Intuition means that a person believes mainly information he receives from the internal or imaginative world.
The third criterion defines how the person processes information. Thinking means that a person makes a decision mainly through logic. Feeling means that, as a rule, he makes a decision based on emotion.
The fourth criterion defines how a person implements the information he has processed. Judging means that a person organizes all his life events and acts strictly according to his plans. Perceiving means that he is inclined to improvise and seek alternatives.
The different combinations of the criteria determine what type you are. So if we do the permutations and combinations we end up in sixteen types. So in this world every person more or less can be categorised in to one of these 16 types. Every type has a name (or formula) according to the combination of criteria. For example:
ISTJ
Introvert Sensing Thinking Judging or
ENFP
Extrovert INtuitive Feeling Perceiving
If you are an " I " doesn't mean you will be strictly an introvert, it will be more degree of being introvert than being extrovert. Same holds good with any of the types. The point i want to drive is each type is unique on its own way, and the way we tend to establish a connection with the fellow human beings depends on the type. Not everybody can jell well with every other person, its some common traits that makes you attract towards the other person and establish the connection. And a lot of falling into these types depends on how your surroundings have been since childhood. The art of decision making is also driven by what type of personality you are. Sometimes people tend to decide based on emotion others judge the situation putting their principles on high esteem. Its very interesting to talk about these personality traits in detail and draw parallels to things happening in our lives. But i am not a guru in human psychology to write in greater depth as we already have so much information floating :)

Every Little Act Counts...
Though it seems like a small thing all these small events (inequations) lead to big ones in life which ultimately we would want GOD to resolve and thats what you have come here for and you are just adding more variables to your inequation and making GOD confused whether he should solve the worries bugging you or the worry you are creating to others . Since my ears were wide open i could hear people criticizing the way things are being handled by the in house staff , a thought crossed my mind they have the leisure to talk and make fuss about the system but they dont have the time to follow a simple instruction of disposing a cup in the nearby bin. Anyways i was impressed with the guy who was doing his job walked up to him told him that he is doing his job well, gave him a hug and handed him a small token which otherwise i would have put in the Hundi assuming that it reaches God... for I beleive in "Service to Humanity is Service to God" ...Pobably this small act of this person has earned him the status of GOD.....

Seven tips for making yourself happier IN THE NEXT HOUR
Seven tips for making yourself happier in the next hour.
You can make yourself happier – and this doesn’t have to be a long-term ambition. You can start right now. In the next hour, check off as many of the following items as possible. Each of these accomplishments will lift your mood, as will the mere fact that you’ve tackled and achieved some concrete goals.
1. Boost your energy: stand up and pace while you talk on the phone or, even better, take a brisk ten-minute walk outside. Research shows that when people move faster, their metabolism speeds up, and the activity and sunlight are good for your focus, your mood, and the retention of information. Plus, because of “emotional contagion,” if you act energetic, you’ll help the people around you feel energetic, too.
2. Reach out to friends: make a lunch date or send an email to a friend you haven’t seen in a while. Having warm, close bonds with other people is one of the keys to happiness, so take the time to stay in touch. Somewhat surprisingly, it turns out that socializing boosts the moods not only of extroverts, but also of introverts.
3. Rid yourself of a nagging task: answer a difficult email, purchase something you need, or call to make that dentist’s appointment. Crossing an irksome chore off your to-do list will give you a big rush of energy and cheer, and you’ll be surprised that you procrastinated for so long.
4. Create a calmer environment: clear some physical and mental space around your desk by sorting papers, pitching junk, stowing supplies, sending out quick responses, filing, or even just making your piles neater. A large stack of little tasks can feel overwhelming, but often just a few minutes of work can make a sizeable dent. Try to get in the habit of using the “one minute rule”—i.e., never postpone any task that can be completed in less than one minute. An uncluttered environment will contribute to a more serene mood.
5. Lay the groundwork for some future fun: order a book you’ve been wanting to read (not something you think you should read) or plan a weekend excursion to a museum, hiking trail, sporting event, gardening store, movie theater—whatever sounds like fun. Studies show that having fun on a regular basis is a pillar of happiness, and anticipation is an important part of that pleasure. Try to involve friends or family, as well; people enjoy almost all activities more when they’re with other people than when they’re alone.
6. Do a good deed: make an email introduction of two people who could help each other, or set up a blind date, or shoot someone a piece of useful information or gratifying praise. Do good, feel good—this really works. Also, although we often believe that we act because of the way we feel, in fact, we often feel because of the way we act. When you act in a friendly way, you’ll strengthen your feelings of friendliness for other people.
7. Act happy: put a smile on your face right now, and keep smiling. Research shows that even an artificially induced smile has a positive influence on your emotions—turns out that just going through the motion of happiness brightens your mood. And if you’re smiling, other people will perceive you as being friendlier and more approachable.
Some people worry that wanting to be happier is a selfish goal. To the contrary. Studies show that happier people are more sociable, likeable, healthy, and productive—and they’re more inclined to help other people. So in working to boost your own happiness, you’re benefiting others as well.
Feel happier yet?

Thanks to the "Men in Blue"
After a dismall performance by the men in blue, team India has shattered the hopes of millions of cricket loving indians. As a matter of fact if we take a closer look into the actual loss as projected by the media its accounting to 200 crores of rupees be it in the form of advertisement or sponsorship and others. But looking at the team performance we need to to think if our team really deserved to get into the super 8 ? Frankly on Paper the Indian team has the strongest batting line up but how far have they been successfull. If we look in to the last couple of years other than the sub continent grounds we have actually lost most of the series abroad which indeed was an indication that our supposedly strongest batting line up isn't sufficiently strong enough to pull into the next round of the world cup. Though the team has perfomed well under pressure at times, we lost to a minnow team and changed the entire expectations. But if we actually analyze the situation Losing and coming back home is indeed good if not for team India to the rest of the indians atleast and to the economy as such. For instance there are at least 8 crore subscriber for the cable and satellite coverage, of which at 3% would be world cup lovers. Since that India didn't make it to the next round only 3% would watch the next 28 matches.
Had only India made into the final , men in blue would have played another 7 matches which means atleast 58 lac population would watch the match result of which 4810 crore hours of productivity would have been lost.Added to these health problems, students preparing for exams would be under pressure and lose concentration in the examinations and many others like these. Since we saved 4810 hours ultimately contributing 817 grand crores of rupees to the GDP.
The amount projected as loss because of team not making into the next stage is less as compared to this otherwise It would have been another 350% loss. Indirectly there are organizatons like the electricity board which has benifitted a lot, for your idiot box to run it requires 45 wattage of electricity. So if the number of viewers after 12pm reduce we might save 135 watt per head, overall the EB would have saved 3.24 laks of KW of electricity. So if we switch of the tv for the entire cricket tournament for each match runs in 8 hours pre-post discussion together the board would have saved 8.64 lakhs of KW and can be distributed efficiently to required parties.
So overall the its only for the advantage of the Indian publics the team India's loss has made up, so there is no use in people hurling stones at the cricketers house for their poor performance. On a lighter note there are stories going around that the "Main Candidates" for India's Loss / or Not making it into the final 8 stage is Former Prime Minister "Mrs Indira Gandhi" - Yes she is on the One who has actually helped East Pakistan to be emerged as "Bangladesh" and then you know the rest of the story.....and "Our Mythological superHero 'HANUMAN' - Had only he destroyed the whole lanka India would defintely have moved to the next stage

WTS...!!!(Women Thume Salaam)
Did we make a rod for our own backs, ladies? World War II brought a new respect for working women, as they worked the land and joined the labor force in the munitions factories and so on. In the 1950s, most of them were back in the kitchen again. As the next decade progressed, they started to come out again. The 1970s was a battlefield, when working women demanded equal pay for equal work. A lot of burnt bras have gone under the bridge since then.
Today, we have women judges, politicians, surgeons, entrepreneurs so on. It would be a brave man who said out loud that he didn't want to work for a woman. Has all this opportunity come at too high a price? Working women seeking good careers are postponing having children until later and later. Some of them sadly, find that they have left it all too late. There is a lot of pressure on women not to take a career break. They're frightened they'll fall behind their colleagues and miss chances of promotion. Women are supposed to have so many choices today, but biology is the real mistress.
The working mom is not by any means new to our society. Women have been in the workforce for as far as you go back in .....They are the bearers of children and they breast feed the next generation. That is a privilege. For working women who have to rush back to work, putting baby into child care, it's an emotional wrench. Coming home from work at the end of the day, means compacting quality time into a brief period. As we all work longer hours, fathers miss out too. How many working men and working women get home too late to give their child a bath or read them a bed time story. These precious years pass so fast.
It’s not a great secret that even nowadays men and women don’t have equal rights and opportunities. It’s not so visible in Western countries but in Eastern ones the heading role of the men is evident. I hope that in the nearest future the situation will change for the bells have already begun as women are competeting to get the same job as men in all fields. Women are already try themselves more in science, business and politics. It’s known that men are more theorists and women are better in practice, so women can invent new things, which men are not able to. It will be very useful to combine men’s and women’s knowledge to reach the real progress in science. Practical female mind should be more used in politics and economical sphere so I suppose that by the end of the twenties women will play the same role in the ruling of the country as men do now. It’s natural to women to think about the future and to care about the children, so they are the most peaceful politicians. May be we would live in the peaceful world if there were more women in politics nowadays.
There are some areas of life where women can be much more successful than men. They have all the necessary qualities and talents for it. I mean such spheres of social life as art, culture and education. Women are very sensitive, they often follow not their mind, but their senses, and the intuition often shows them how to act in this or that situation. Women are always full of new ideas and plans; they are creative and emotional persons, all these qualities will bring art and culture to the higher level, art won’t be separated from life and it will reflect the reality.
Education is the most important aspect of life, because the children are our hope for future, they will change this world, that’s why it’s necessary to bring up children in the right way. The woman is the mother first of all, nobody knows what the child needs, how to teach him and make him interested in subjects better than she does. Mother’s feelings are the strongest and the most sincere, so I think that more women should take of the role of forming school and university programs and to develop the education. It will be very effective and bring appropriate results.
So in the future women will be busy with science, politics, and education etc., but it doesn’t mean that woman’s role as housewife and mother will be forgotten as indicated in the very beginning, its all about striking the right balance. The technical progress will make the housing much easier, it won’t take much time to make supper and to clean the carpet and there will be left enough time for children.
The future is giving a great chance for women – they can be absolutely independent, most of them will be able to earn their living, to bring up their children and not be afraid for tomorrow. But I hope that this freedom and the possibility to earn real money won’t make the women pragmatic and they won’t forget that woman is the ideal of beauty, harmony and peace. Woman should always stay effeminate, kind and wise. Woman’s wisdom keeps everything in order. Their mildness and calmness save men from aggression and wars. Man and woman make each other complete and it’s the greatest secret of the harmony in the world. That day we will break out of "Men are from Mars Women are from Venus" and in unison agree that both are from the same planet indeed.
Cheer India!!!

Rokh Sakho thoo Rokhlo..
This time around, the railway minister chose to sprinkle his budget speech with Hindi and Urdu couplets, and unflinchingly began by comparing himself with Lord Krishna for bringing about a miraculous turnaround in the Indian Railways.
But the touch of modesty was not missing; he shared the credit with the railways employees.
'Lord Krishna was acclaimed as Giridhar when in a moment of crisis he lifted Mount Govardhan on his finger. However, he did this with the supporting hands of thousands of his fellow villagers,' said the minister.
'Though people are giving me the credit for the turnaround of the railways, with all humility I would like to share with the house that this miracle has been possible because of the tireless efforts of 1.4 million railway employees,' he added.
Lalu Prasad began his budget speech with a guzarish (request): 'Ho izaazat to karun bayan dil apna/ Sanjon rakkha hai maine rail ka ek sapna.' (If you allow me to, I would like to disclose my dreams for the railways in the comings years.) The Opposition was, indeed, not obliging, but he continued.
Crediting himself with ushering in a new work culture, he added : 'Navajis hai sabki, karam hai sabhi ka/ Bade fakhra se ham bulandi par aaye. Tarakki ke sare mayaron se aage/Naye dhang laaye, nayi soch laaye. (I am grateful to everyone and am very proud to have reached this stage, ahead of all milestones of progress with my innovative work culture.)
Outdoing former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee in his proverbial use of verse, Lalu said: 'Maana ki badi-badi baaten karna hamen nahin aaya/ Magar dil par badi kaarigari se naam likhte hain. (I don't know how to boast about what I do, but I have the skill to write my name on people's hearts.'
Talking about the 'record-breaking performance' of the railways in the recent past, including the increase in passenger and freight earnings, and the whopping Rs. 215 billion projected profits for 2007-2008, the minister said: 'Jitna ab tak dekh chuke ho, ye to bas shuruat hai. Khel tamasha aage dekho, dariya dil saudagar ka.'
Loosely translated, it means: 'This is just the beginning. Watch out for the fun as you witness our future generosity.'

When is V's V'Day ???
People ask me don't you you have Girl in your life? I reply i don't want a girl I want to have a "woman" in my life and she is always with me.
I can imagine she must be the cutest and warmhearted and I wish her to be part of everything i do, she is the one whom i draw inspiration from. But does she know that I love her? What is that i have to do for her to convey the message across? Why is that she is never willing to come right in front? But what if she comes will I able to tell her how much i care for her, how much i love her , how much i have been longing for her? I always wanted to tell her the very feeling itself excites me, makes me go mad, but what if someday she walks across me, will I become speechless? With all these thoughts and questions she dances gracefully deep down in my heart making me smile not only on my face but in my heart as well.
If she gives me an opportunity to show how much i love her, Will take her to all those beautiful places on the river side and just spend time hand in hand, face to face , eye to eye all day long and make her feel with just my eyes not uttering even a single word conveying, "My heart to you is already given, Oh princess, do give yours to me, We'll lock them up together,And throw away the key".
If she asks me Quantify me the Love for her, i will respond her "A hundred hearts would be too few To carry all my love for you".
Every time my mind asks my heart How long can you wait for her?, It feels "Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity."
I am for sure some day she will realise how much I love her, for What I need to live has been given to me by the earth, But Why I need to live has been given to me by her.
The day she feels my love I will ask her "Will you be my Valentine?" and that day will be V(ijay)'s V-Day for she too has decided I am "The One" for her.
