Wrap up 2005

We never realise how time flies off. Year 2005 has left many a sweet and bitter memories. It started of with a tour to Mysore with my colleagues @ MerIndus. It was a KISS (Kept it Sweet and Simple) trip. Work @ MerIndus started being hectic. Never realised that there is something beyond work. Had been workaholic for quite sometime. And Suddenly we realise in the month of March the company is not doing good. Serious discrepancies between the management in Blore and NewJersey. Eventually it led to downfall of the great Start that we always dreamt of being sucessfull. Luckily it didn't take much time for us to get another Job(Work Expereince always counts.) But 1.6 years of stay @ Merindus has taught many lessons. We have learnt how to withstand adversities in life. Believe me the Month of March was really an haunting month for obvious reasons. Felt like the sense of togetherness has been broken for we have to part and start a new life in a new Environment. Then a new Company , new Colleagues, New events happening. Started realising theres much more to be done beyond work. So started working my NGO Dream-A-Dream where I had been a passive volunteer. But now I started volunteering in the events Actively. There was an even called "Monsoon Miracles" an inter-NGO competetion for the KIDS. What a phenomenonal event it. Somethings in life can never be expressed they can only be felt. I have started to associate with the Theatre Group VODO(Version One Dot Oh!). My stint with Vodo is really awesome. Its one more Good Expereince i can Say. Life started to change. An introvert kindaa person trying to change to be an Extrovert. We participated in the young directors fest and our play won the First Prize. It gives you so much sense of feel-good-factor when you are associated with such a group and your contribution also makes so much difference. WRT work its was a cool though couple of times had to slog in through the nites. Year 2005 can be marked as a "NETWORKING" year since i have been meeting, associating, involving with too many new faces. Its a wonderful feeling when you get to meet and know about people. Also few people whom i lost in touch also have got in touch with me. And few people i have to forgo for the rest of my life. Dont want to ponder much into this.

Overall year 2005 has been good with too many new friends and hope to continue the same.
Letz hope year 2006 has many prospective things in the store.
Cheers to 2005 and Hearty Welcome to 2006.

Dharwar Trip

I am associated with theatre group Version One Dot Oh! in short VODO in bangalore. We have staged so far 8 plays in Bangalore. On december 22nd we set off to Dharwar to stage 2 palys there. What an awesome trip it was. The entire group is filled with lotz of zeaaaaaaaaal. We left bangalore at 9.30 by the ajmer express. Had a good gala time in the train. Reached Dharwar Railway Station at 7 Am the next day. We were put up at the Working Womens Hostel at the KarnatakaUniversity. We unloaded the luggage, fresehned up and set off to have BreakFast. Wonderful breakfast it was - uppittu and IdlyVada. Our next task was to do some publicity for our shows. We selected few colleges and few other places for the same. I reached SDM Medical college where i met few doctors and managed to sell few tickets there. In the noon set off to SDM dental College (Very Good Chicks!!!) and could sell few more tickets. Having finished some publicty in the colleges reached our accomodation. Then we set off to the Theatre where we were supposed to perform. We did publicty in and around the theatre for there were few student hostels, so we took that oppurtunity to do the publicity. It was 9 PM and all of our guyz were feeling very hungry so had very good dinner at the Meals Corner near the theatre. We went back to our hostel to have a good sleep. Got up in the morning. One of the crew members got an urgent call from home so he had to leave. We felt that it was more important for him to be at bangalore than with us. We went to the theatre afetr having the breakfast. It was time for us to set the stage for the evening show. What an amazing sets we made. Its a result of amazing teamwork by us. We didnt know how time passed off. It was almost the show time. Everybody was busy. the cast members with their makeup, production team with the backstage. Finally the show had begun at 7.30 PM. What an amzing show it was. The talent exhiobited by our guyz was sipmply superb. People who turned for the show really enjoyed the show to their best. The show was over by 8 PM. It was time for us to celebrate the birthday of Priya (One of our team members). Did the cake cutting, had our dinner. Afetr we reached the hostel where we put up we had a rocking party. Again its time for us to sleep since we had to perform one more show the next day. Even the next day also we didnt know how soon it passed off...since everybody was busy with their work..few people practicing their lines, others busy with sets, then makeup etc. We had one more superb performance. The show was over by 9 PM. Since we were suppsoed to leave by teh 10.30 PM bus, we had to pack up our stuff get load the entire luggage etc. Finally we reached the bus well before time, boarded it. And we set off to bangalore.

Though the description above was plain we had ana amazing trip. There are many things we will be nostalgic about. Few points to take home - Teamwork displayed by the entire crew was simply superb. The enthu filled among the team was amazing. Looks like we guyz can achieve anything under the sky. Overall it was a nice memorable trip.

To have or Not to Have

Well the title sounds slightly vague, atleast from 30,000 feet. Ok lets lower our feet to the ground level. It deals with the recent verdict of the Court on the comments of Kushboo the tamil actress on Premartial Sex. Well every individual has his own perception towards the things around him and has the freedom to express the same as long as it does not influence others badly. But when it comes to celebeties i guess they should be slightly careful on issues like these..be it Kushboo or Sania we treat them as icons and their views might be inspiritions to few. Well when it comes to pre-marital sex i have mixed feelings on that. Sometimes i feel its fine and sometimes its not. If people call that infidelity when woman is at the receibving end but when man does the same he is not pointed out. If we feel that Sex is something spiritual and a trust between 2 people it should not matter whether its pre-marriage or post marriage. As i told I have mixed feeling ...if people are having pre-marital sex with different people at different points of time that is something to be pondered over.

To be continued..

Failing to plan is Planning to Fail

Somebody aptly said that. Atleast true in my case. 2oth Nov - the D-Day for the CAT- Lakhs of people across the country compete to get in to the "Har Seat Hot Seat" - the most priviliged seat in the country- a seat in IIM. Me too set on for the same. But i am sure i wont be able to make into it this time why? for obvious reasons - No proper planning - no stratgeies in place - so how can you expect the exam to be cracked. After looking at the paper really felt had i planned well i would have cracked the show. But no regrets that's just a part of life. Anyways i have taken it as a learing expereince- just such situations make me more tougher, however the 'Feel-Good-Factor" really itches me a lot.
So lets hope for the best- Hope i will apply the lessons grabbed for better prospects in future
