Oppose if you are an opposition!

Having close interest in the politics of India which was one of my child hood dreams to enter into, i had been following the trust motions, the pre-polling analysis, exit polls be it a state election or general election and also catch up on the LS/RS sessions once in a while. Everybody is talking of the recent "Singh is King" trust motion which apparently a sham ! Well i do remember studying my history books about our Indian democracy supposedly the largest in the world and the most vibrant one has infact been in doldrums for quite few years with grotesque discussions at times and i feel we are still an evolving nation where we get to hear very good debates concerning the nation at large. Infact the recent trust motion discussions had very good speeches where the young politicians who are more concerned on the national interest than of their political parties. However I do have my apathy with the opposition parties (be it any) as over the years they have been there as they are there and oppose every bill being passed as they are termed as "opposition". Well does opposition really mean they have to oppose every damn thing even without a discussion? Can't we work together as a team in the larger interests of the public? I felt really bad when our beloved prime minister who is the most knowledgeable person and puts in so much of hard work in every decision he takes ,was not given an opportunity by the opposition to deliver his speech. Though the entire trust motion was based up on the nuclear deal which i am sure most of the parliament members aren't aware of had never raised a point of discussion on the same. The saffron party says they would want to re-negotiate the deal but want to join hands with the communists who are against the deal as they would never want to India to overtake China in any means as they were and will always be the torch bearers for the neigbouring country's growth but not of their own. Do they understand that china's whose entire electricity is driven from the coal industry has already begun the process of generating energy via the nuclear power and is going to scale up enormously by the year 2050 whereas we in india are yet to go through the clearances and make it operationalize. As long as the deal is implemented as it is supposed to be and is not going to be another BOFORS scam for this government i am happy the present government won the vote of trust. Probably its high time the netas in the opposition think more sensibly and contribute to the growth than merely opposing every thing that comes in the parliaments way as after all they are in the "opposition" and if they don't make a hue and cry which media channel going to project them? May be every political party has their own ideologies and philosophies but if they introspect on why it has been formed and realize the foundation for every party is the common cause - welfare of the nation that day every citizen of this country would start appreciating their political leaders, until than the people of India will always be in the "opposition". Atleast i am happy that i am in an age where i could see few future leaders coming out of this cloud and want to work towards a common vision. As Rahul Gandhi says "Rather than thinking how the world is impacting us, if we start thinking how we are going to impact the world" we are definitely moving in a better direction and i hope this future leader is going to live up his expectations than flowing with the tide and just be another inherited political party leader.
